Chiltern Water & Environment was established in 1991 by Robert Hunt after gaining 25 years’ experience as an operational and analytical scientist in the water supply industry. The company gained engineering and further management knowledge when David Hunt joined in 2012. Since then, other water industry professionals have added to the breadth of knowledge and experience within the company.
We have always provided high-quality consultancy, testing and remedial services in a professional but personable manner. Our steady growth has reflected our clients’ trust in our services. Our current clients include large housing associations, pharmaceutical companies and facilities management companies, as well as individual landlords and small businesses. We ensure all our customers receive the same level of care and attention to detail.
We have clients throughout the South East, London and the Midlands, and carry out water tests nationally and internationally. We currently provide regular water sampling and testing for over 500 sites.

Robert Hunt established Chiltern Water & Environment (formerly Chiltern Water Management) in 1991 after gaining 25 years’ experience as an operational and analytical scientist in the water supply industry. This experience provided knowledge of treatment technologies, monitoring water and air quality, the investigation of water quality problems, regulatory and bylaw requirements and health and safety matters.

David Hunt joined the company in 2012 and the current company of Chiltern Water & Environment was formed. David brings expertise in project management and engineering to the company. He has worked for various different companies over the years, spending the majority of time working at the Rolls Royce base in Derby as a Project Leader and Design Engineer.
David took a secondment from his working life in 2006 when he went to help with the earthquake appeal in Pakistan. He spent a year working there and during that time, he helped to build and maintain a micro-hydropower plant in a remote mountain location.
Water Hygiene Engineer: Matthew Mouatt

Matthew Mouatt has worked in the water treatment industry for over 15 years, working as an engineer, water treatment specialist and legionella surveyor for various leading companies.
He has extensive experience as a legionella risk assessor in the UK and internationally, including the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Qatar and various National Trust properties. Matthew also specialises in closed system treatment, having worked on well-known sites including Canary Wharf (WF9), St. Pancras railway station and the London Olympics Aquatic Centre.
PA to the Directors: Lorna Hunt
Lorna joined the company in 2012. Previously, she has worked as a teacher for the majority of her career. She now works part-time for Chiltern Water & Environment and as a private tutor.
Lorna is responsible for HR and Health & Safety within the company. She also undertakes administration and project management duties on behalf of the directors.
